Here comes the Snow!

Well, we didn't have to wait too long for a good snow to cover the ground!  It started snowing on November 29th here in Iowa, and dropped around 4-5 inches on our lawn.  Last night and this morning we received at least an inch and a half more.  Andy has purchased a new shovel in anticipation of all the shoveling he will do this winter season.  We are thankful that we are safe at home instead of trying to travel cross country in this weather.  However, we do lament the snow's arrival in one huge way!  We were supposed to get the flooring replaced, as well as other winterizing repairs done on our 5th-wheel trailer today, but because of the snow, we have been unable to get our trailer out of storage and to the trailer repair shop that has agreed to do the work for us.  It has been such a hassle in the first place to find a place that was willing to do this job for us, and it breaks our hearts to see the appointment day come and go without being able to fulfill our end of the commitment.  Our trailer is currently blocked in by another 5th-wheel trailer and also a motor home.  Last night we were finally able to get a hold of both owners of these vehicles, and they have agreed to move out of our way...weather permitting.  So now we are praying for a good day to do all of this rearranging, and for the trailer repair shop to be patient with us.  We hope that God will free up their schedules so that no matter when we are finally able to get the trailer to their shop, that they would have a wide open schedule for us!  Back in August, we purchased all of the carpet and other supplies that we would need for this project, so we are ready to go!  Please God, give us a good day to move the trailer!!
To update you on the pregnancy, we are now 18 weeks along.  I have started to receive weekly injections to hopefully help prevent premature labor.  You can praise the Lord for giving us (mainly me) peace about the pregnancy.  In my devotions this week, the Lord has impressed upon my heart that it's okay to be excited and look forward to our baby's arrival in May.  This pregnancy is not like the last one, and no matter what happens, He is always in control.  Praise the Lord!  We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the pregnancy.  Our next appointment is December 19th for our 20-week ultrasound.  We hope to find out if it's a boy or girl at that time!
