Thursday afternoon 1/22

Today has been another good day!  Praise the Lord!  No mishaps or anomalies to report today.  I didn't rest very well last night, so I have spent most of the day drifting in and out of sleep.  Andy has been making phone calls for our mission work, so he wakes me up every once in awhile.  That is okay; I'm glad to have him here.  Last night we learned from our doctor that she is going to postpone our next ultrasound until Monday morning.  This is because I had an unscheduled ultrasound because of the problems I was having.  So it sounds like Monday morning we will know whether things are improving or not.
We are on the OB/Maternity ward floor here at Methodist.  During our time here, two babies have been born in the room next to us.  No one tells me these things, but I gather this information from different sounds drifting through the walls.  Each time I hear a baby cry I make a point to pray for the safe delivery of our little boy.  This has done two things: given me a greater dependence on God for a good outcome, and it has also taught me how much new babies cry!   I'm praying constantly, it seems!  haha!  That is a good thing though!
One regret I have about my time here is the food.  One main cuisine style has unfortunately been left off the menu: Mexican food!  What I wouldn't give for a taco or chicken enchilada!  Those who know me are sure to understand my dismay at this fact.  Our original due date for this little one was May 5th, or "Cinco de Mayo" as some know it.  As my older sister said, "how perfect for you since you love Mexican food!"
One wonderful thing that God has provided during our time here is an increase in our missionary support.  We now have 68% of our needed monthly financial support!  We praise the Lord for blessing in that way, especially at this time when we feel like we can't pursue missions very well while in the hospital dealing with all of this.  The Lord is faithful!
Thank you for your continued prayers and notes!  We are thankful for another day!

Dolly, I'm actually commenting on your blog! Thankful you had a good day and yes, I would miss Mexican food too. I find it interesting that is what I craved when I was pregnant with you in Texas. Of course, Deborah is not a lover of tacos, chips & salsa, etc. but she is learning! Anxious to see you, but I am glad they are having you stay until Monday at least. Love and prayers, Mom

I am so glad to hear that things are going well today. I read your update from yesterday and said a lot of prayer for you and baby.

Isn't it funny how you can pick things up from the other rooms. I remember with Autumn I would hear another baby cry and wake up thinking it was her. I did that with Nolan too I guess.

So will you be in the hospital until Monday now?

    God bless.
