32 Weeks!

The Lord has graciously allowed me to complete 2 months of bedrest, bringing me to 32 weeks of pregnancy!  I am amazed at this gift from the Lord!  It is such a blessing to know that God has kept His hand on me and this baby and safely guided us to this point!  Praise the Lord for His gracious gift of life to our son and helping me to complete 8 months of pregnancy so far!

This last week I have noticed more contractions, which could be real ones or Braxton-Hicks contractions.  With my condition, the doctors are concerned about anything I'm feeling because even Braxton-Hicks contractions could be dilating me further.  Yesterday I noticed some more symptoms of impending labor.  After calling the doctor, she just advised me to keep monitoring how I'm feeling and any symptoms of possible labor.  I'm already doing everything I can do to keep labor from happening; complete and strict bedrest is really all I can do.  I am praying that I stay pregnant through the rest of this month, which would put me at 35 weeks gestation.  But, ultimately, I trust in the Lord's timing, knowing that God knows exactly when this baby will be born, and His timing is perfect.  I don't have any doctor appointments scheduled for this week, so I am looking forward to a week of rest and inactivity.  Hopefully that will help me get at least one week further.

Last weekend Andy had a fun shopping trip with my mom and sister!  They got some "must have" items for the baby!  I feel more prepared now, knowing that we have stuff like clothes and diapers should our baby come soon.  He brought home so many fun things for me to look at and admire!  I especially liked looking at our baby's new clothes!  Andy also made some great headway in preparing our baby's room last week.  We now have most everything in its place.  I like to peek in the baby's room when I happen to walk by it each time I get up to use the restroom.

This afternoon has been good.  Andy is gone to Des Moines getting some work done on our truck that we use to pull our trailer home.  This is the third time we have taken the truck in for the same issue.  Please pray that these mechanics can get everything right this time.  It is very frustrating for us to deal with this right now.  It is difficult for Andy to take off for 3-4 hours away from me to take care of these things.  I've been alone for about almost 2 hours now, which is totally okay.  I don't need a lot of care during the afternoon between lunch and dinner.  However, I have noticed TWO SPIDERS on my ceiling above my bed and I hope that Andy gets home very quickly to take care of these gross critters!!

Thank you for your prayers and concern for our family!  Please continue to pray for at least 35 weeks of pregnancy if it is God's will!  We know His will and timing is perfect.
