God's provisions
As God's children, we benefit from God's provisions every day. I should be more diligent to daily give thanks for how He has made provision for my forgiveness and salvation as well as that of Andy and our entire families. God also provides for all my needs each day. Even those things which I think I need, God knows best what I truly need, and He makes sure I don't go without.
Lately, God has been making provision for some of our ministry needs. This week we were able to purchase our tool trailer that we need for when we get on the mission field full time! We purchased it from a former missionary builder who has just recently retired from the building ministry. It's a 36' long goosneck trailer. The man we purchased it from used it for the exact same thing we are going to use it for, so he included all the shelving and even some tools for us. We were able to purchase all of this at a great price, so we praise the Lord for providing these items for us!
Our financial support is holding steady at 72%. We thank the Lord for the support He has given us. We are praying that when we start up with deputation meetings again in June that those meetings will help to raise our support level. We need 85% of our support in order to go full time on the mission field, but of course we pray that God will supply 100% of our need. Our God is not a God of 85%, He is fully capable of providing 100% of our need if that is His will.
Andy and I are busy busy busy getting ready to move into our trailer home. We move out of the parsonage on June 9th, and we will then transition into life in our trailer! We will be living at Outback Campground in Tama, IA until mid-July when we will head out East for a four-month stint of deputation. This is the first time that we will be taking our trailer with us on deputation. I'm actually really excited to move into the trailer and have it with us on deputation. I remember when we bought the trailer in December of 2007--I thought, "this is our HOME!" I was so excited to have a place to call our own! But then we had to put it in storage because it just wasn't time to live in it yet. Ever since then we have been making improvements and getting it ready to live in. Now we're finally moving into it in just a couple of weeks! I'm anxious to show Judah his new room and to watch him grow up in our own place! When we get back to Iowa in November after our East coast trip, we plan to move back into the parsonage, but I'm hoping and praying that the Lord will have increased our support level so that we can stay in the trailer and start on the mission field full time! Doesn't that sound like an exciting proposition?! The Lord is certainly able to make it happen!
We're enjoying the nicer weather we've been having this week! Andy has been outside washing and waxing our trailer home. Judah and I are enjoying taking walks and while he sleeps I have been getting the parsonage ready for our departure. We got one month pictures taken of Judah last week and they turned out so well! Judah did such a good job and had his eyes open for the whole photo shoot! A former college room mate of mine is now a photographer, so as a gift to us she took pictures for us. What a great gift! It was a great experience!
It's getting close to time to feed Judah again, so I'll sign off for now. Hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend!
