Feeling "at home".

This has been one busy week!  Our family moved into our trailer this week!  We purchased this trailer in December of 2007 in order to take it with us on the mission field someday, and thus, have our home with us wherever we go.  Well, the opportunity came up for us to move in to the trailer and let another missionary couple live in the church's parsonage where we were staying.  So, that missionary couple is now back on furlough and staying in the parsonage.  That means we are in our trailer!  Andy and I were both very excited to move in!  This is the first place we have lived that is really ours!  Ours to take care of, ours to improve, ours to keep!  I absolutely love living in our trailer!  It makes me think that soon we will be on the mission field very soon, ministering how the Lord leads!

For now our trailer is parked in Tama county in Iowa.  Next month we will take off for more deputation meetings in Pennsylvania and New York and we plan to take our trailer with us.  I'm glad that we've had this time in our trailer before we go so far away.  Hopefully this time close to home will allow us to get more acquainted with trailer life and make any improvements that are needed before we leave.

Our first full day in the trailer was actually Judah's 2 month old birthday!  Hard to believe Judah is already 2 months!  He had his 2 month doctor appointment last week, and the doctor said he's doing well.  Judah weighed 10 lbs 2 oz.  We're so glad for his continued health and growth.  We thank the Lord.  Judah remains such a sweet baby.  He wakes us up once during the night to eat.  So, this schedule is better for us so that we can still have energy and not be so tired during the day.  That came in handy these last few weeks as we have been packing and moving.  Judah has started to find his fingers and suck; the other day we caught him sucking his thumb.  We are enjoying him and we thank the Lord that he has been such a good baby so far.

This weekend we have a meeting in Kansas.  We are all going.  That means this is my first meeting since November of last year (since I couldn't go with Andy while I was on bedrest), and this is Judah's first meeting ever!  Traveling with Judah to do these presentations makes me nervous a little bit.  I wonder how he'll do sleeping in a different place.  What if he's fussy during church and I can't do my part of the presentation?  A lot of things could be more difficult now that we have Judah along, but that's just life with a newborn.  We've done a pretty good job at adjusting to our new normal with Judah around, I have a feeling we'll do just fine at learning to travel with him.

Well, I have limited time nowadays to get everything done during Judah's napping time.  Hope everyone has a good weekend!
